Nanny

A Nanny cares for a family’s children in the family’s home. They create a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment and are responsible for everything related to the children’s physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities of a Nanny:

The specific responsibilities will vary depending on what is agreed upon with the family/employer. These duties typically include:

  • Children’s meals
  • Child-related errands
  • Driving the children to appointments and activities
  • Children’s laundry
  • Light housekeeping pertaining to the children

On-Call Nannies: Our On-Call service is perfect for nannies needing a flexible work schedule. This option is ideal for students, or anyone who is looking to fill in their schedule. Annie’s Nannies records your availability, and then we will call you as work becomes available.


Family Assistant

A Family Assistant is a nanny who works alongside a parent in the home, to help them in the care of their children and the management of the household. They provide another pair of hands to assist busy parents with creating a safe and nurturing environment for their children.

Nanny/Household Manager

A Nanny/Household Manager is someone who is hired by a family to help care for the family’s children as a Nanny and also manages many aspects of the household.  This position is usually full charge and the parents work outside of the home.

The specific responsibilities will vary depending on what is agreed upon with the employer. These duties typically include:

Postpartum Support

Working with Annie’s Nannies is a great way to expand your client base if you are a Doula or Newborn Care Specialist.  We place a variety of positions, including:

Doula
The role of a Postpartum Doula is to help new mothers transition through the postpartum period, as well as to nurture the entire family following the birth of a new baby. The duties a Postpartum Doula performs will vary from day to day, depending on the needs of the family. All Doulas represented by ANI must be DONA or NAPS certified and meet all other agency requirements. Doulas make an hourly range of $25-$30.

Night Nanny
Night Nannies can work anywhere from one day to three months or more. The role of the Night Nanny is to take care of all the newborn’s needs at night while the parents get much needed rest. Night Nannies stay in the family’s home overnight. Night Nannies make an hourly range of $20-$25.

Newborn Care Specialist
A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is an individual trained and skilled in newborn care. She provides unique expertise in all aspects of newborn care, parental education, and support. Her job is to help nurture and care for newborns while providing guidance and education for the parents. All NCS represented by ANI must be NCS certified and meet all other agency requirements. The hourly range for an NCS is $18-$30.


Schedule/Commitment Options

  • Long-Term Positions: Candidates are required to commit a minimum of one year to the family/employer.
  • Short-Term Positions: These positions can last anywhere from a few weeks to just under a year.
  • On-Call work: On-Call work requires at least a 6-month commitment to taking work through Annie’s Nannies.
  • Summer Positions: These typically last from June through the beginning of September. Nannies who are interested in a summer job can begin submitting applications in April.
  • After-School Positions: These can be the school year only or Long-Term, including summer. Some positions also include Before-School care.
