Childcare Only

Nanny

A Nanny cares for a family’s children in the family’s home. They create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment and are responsible for everything related to the children’s physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities of a Nanny:

The specific responsibilities will vary depending on what is agreed upon with the employer. These duties typically include:

  • Children’s physical/emotional/developmental needs
  • Children’s meals
  • Child-related errands
  • Driving the children to appointments and activities
  • Children’s laundry
  • Light housekeeping pertaining to the children

Postpartum Support

Night Nannies

Night Nannies can work anywhere from one night to three months or more.  The role of the Night Nanny is to take care of all the newborn’s needs at night while the parents get much needed rest.

Postpartum Doulas

Doulas work anywhere from one day to three months or more.  The role of a Postpartum Doula is to help new mothers transition through the postpartum period, as well as to nurture the entire family following the birth of a new baby. The duties a Postpartum Doula performs will vary from day to day, depending on the needs of the family. Postpartum Doulas also provide hands-on education on newborn and mother care. Doulas work during the day or overnight.

Newborn Care Specialists

Newborn Care Specialists are trained in all aspects of newborn care.  They provide expertise on a newborn’s needs and help to transition the newborn into the home and establish a routine.  Newborn Care Specialists can work day or overnight.  They do not typically do household duties or care for other children in the home.

Childcare + Household Support

Family Assistant

A Family Assistant is a Nanny who is also an assistant to the parent(s) or household manager.  They complete your team and will assist busy parents with creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children as well as the management of the household. We offer long-term and short-term placements.

Responsibilities of a Family Assistant:

The specific responsibilities will vary depending on what is agreed upon with the employer. These duties typically include:

    • Tutoring
    • Organizing after-school activities
  • Household Duties
    • Running household errands

Nanny/Household Manager

A Nanny/Household Manager is someone who is hired by a family to help care for the family’s children as a Nanny and also manage many aspects of the household.  This position is usually full charge and the parents work outside of the home.

Responsibilities of a Nanny/Household Manager:

The specific responsibilities will vary depending on what is agreed upon with the employer. These duties typically include:

Household Support Only

Household Assistant

A Household Assistant works in a home environment providing household support to a couple or an individual.

Responsibilities of a Household Assistant:

The specific responsibilities will vary depending on what is agreed upon with the employer. These duties typically include:

  • Scheduling household maintenance
  • Running household errands
  • Pet care
  • Grocery shopping
  • Laundry
  • Meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping/organizational projects
  • Maintaining appointment calendar

Personal Assistant

Responsibilities of a Personal Assistant:

The specific responsibilities will vary depending on what is agreed upon with the employer. These duties typically include:

  • Booking appointments and travel
  • Handling special projects and doing research
  • Shopping and running personal errands
  • Organizational projects
  • Maintaining and managing calendar
  • Filing/emailing/bookkeeping

Estate Managers

Estate Managers serve as CEO of the owner’s property or multiple residences.  This is a high level position which involves delegating tasks and managing other staff.

Household Managers

Household Managers keep the employer’s home running smoothly. A Household Manager is usually only responsible for one property and performs the service tasks themselves in addition to delegating tasks to other staff.  The Household Manager reports directly to the employer or an Estate Manager.

Butlers

Butlers are responsible for efficiently running and supervising the specific needs of a formal or multi-staffed household. The responsibilities are similar to those of a Household Manager or Personal or Executive Assistant, with a Butler providing distinctive, “hands-on” involvement.  A Butler typically oversees the household staff usually of one residence and anticipates the needs of the employer. The Butler usually lives in.

Personal Chefs

Personal Chefs dedicate themselves solely to the culinary needs of the home, preparing meals for the family, other household staff members, and guests. Many Chefs come to private homes from fine restaurants while others may have developed their skills from years of cooking.

Couples

Couples are two individuals working as a team to provide domestic and personal services as needed for the care of the home and family. They can be any configuration as follows: Household Manager and Chef, Housekeeper and Handyman/Cook/Groundskeeper, Butler and Chef, or Chef and Housekeeper.
