Attention, nanny community! We are tickled pink to announce our February Nanny of the Month, Genessa Cielo! Genessa is currently placed with an ANI family and does occasional On-Call work as well.
Her regular family had these kind words to say: “Genessa is a wonderful nanny. All of Genessa’s actions with our child are done with love, patience, and understanding. She is conscientious, trustworthy, and responsible. Our daughter looks forward to her arrival each day.”
Our On-Call families don’t hesitate to share her praises either! One family commented, “Genessa has worked out really well. She is very competent, knowledgeable (how to handle a 3 year old and expectations for a 3 year old), confident, and outgoing. [Our son] has really taken to her.”
The following conversation between Genessa and a 5 year old is one of her all-time favorite things a child has said to her:
5 year old girl: “Nessa, where do babies come from?”
Me: “Oh that’s a question that you ask mommy and daddy.”
5 year old girl: “Why can’t you tell me?”
Me: “Because some questions are only for mommies and daddies to answer.”
(There was a long pause and then…)
5 year old girl: “Nessa, do nannies not know as much as mommies and daddies?”
We are still laughing over this one, Genessa! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Great Idea to post a nanny of the month. When I was at UW, during all the summers the girls would become nanny(s?) It was almost like a guaranteed job with all the parents out there looking for intelligent nannys. Lots of them wanted to know what it was like to be a nanny, so this blog is perfect to detail some cool anecdotes.
